Daniel is the CEO of Atarraya, a company focused on making shrimp the future of protein through biotechnology and AI. Daniel, an economist by training, was inspired to act during a trip to Mexico's Oaxacan coast to help communities after a hurricane, where he encountered poverty among rural communities. He decided to use his skills to help, especially targeting fishermen. Before Atarraya, Daniel held roles in consulting and leadership for Mexican companies and founded Maricultura Vigas in 2010. He holds an economics degree from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City
